The Best Hunting Photo Ever

Growing up as a child I learned to have a great appreciation for the outdoors, thanks to my father. Now that I am a mother and have three children of my own I have tried to introduce them to the outdoors and the beauty of the forests and wilderness of Northern Michigan, like my father did for me.

My father, now a Grandfather, has a great appreciation of the woods and one of his favorite pastimes is hunting Northern white tale deer. My father reads, studies, and has made it a life time passion to learn about this great animal. He now has passed on his passion to one of my sons. Last year my son was so excited that he was now at the age of 10 and could take Hunters Safety. My son impassioned with this same love for the outdoors, not only took the class at 10 years of age, but very nearly scored a perfect score on his final exam. As soon as he left the school his first phone call was to his Grandpa to set up a time to get his new bow and get ready for his first hunting experience with his Grandpa. For the next three months my son practiced with his new bow for opening day and that first opportunity at a white tale deer.

Well opening day came and as the two of them headed to hunting camp they were like to little kids in a candy store. They were both so excited for the big day and the biggest kid was my father who was so excited to have a new eager, attentive hunting buddy to teach and pass on all of his hunting knowledge to.

Well the day couldn’t have gone any better for my son, as he patiently waited for that first deer to come; many came but just not close enough for a shot. Then finally his opportunity came and he was now a seasoned successful BUCK hunter.

Of course he wanted to mount his trophy and put it on his bedroom wall with all his wrestling, baseball, and football trophies, however I did not agree with that idea. I thought this, especially after looking into the cost of taxidermy to mount his deer.

I did agree to get the picture he took of his trophy deer made into a life size replica from iPixXL who takes pictures and can make it them look like the real thing. So my son, his grandpa, and I all share in his proud moment with our beautiful iPixXL reproduction that can be moved to his house very easily when he grows up and has his own special place for his first deer.
