My mother in law lost her best friend Rowdy last year. Rowdy was a beautiful yellow lab that was a great family protector, a terrific bird hunter, and best friend to my mother in law whether she was home or taking her trips around the country. Like most of us that have pets, whether they are dogs, cats, birds, fish, or snakes, hamsters, gerbils, horses…. they all find a spot in our hearts in their own way and find a way to stay near and dear to us forever.
My mother in law recently replaced good old Rowdy with a new friend she named Spencer. Spencer is another lab who she rescued from an adopt-a-pet program at a local pet supplier. No matter though, she still missed her Rowdy, even though liked looking through the photos she had of him. So my wife and I were trying to get something special so she could remember him forever. Everything we looked at outside of a normal photo was just too expensive to have made.
Then we saw a friend who recently had a wrestling picture of their son made for his bedroom wall. The best part is that the product was not made on a permanent picture or sticker material. Instead it was made on a custom material that is removable from the wall. The company is called iPixXL and they do all sorts of custom pictures. They have converted my mother in law’s bedroom wall into a personal pet wall. Now each day when she wakes she has her new friend Spencer at the door and every night she has her old friend Rowdy looking over her as she rests comfortably and recalls the special memories they shared over the years.
